AT & T Wireless now combines the networks of Cingular and AT&T. While this should in fact result in better service I have personally not experienced anything different than the service I had prior to this combine.  About 5 years ago I had AT&T cellphone service and I dropped it due to the fact that I was not able to get service in many instances.   I signed up with Cingular a few years ago and the service was alot better than AT&T in terms on connectivity but there are still places where service is non exitent.  Obviously it is a matter of "point of view" — the service is great as long as you are in sight of the signal.
