I would like to know if web cell phones like the 3g or droid are going to be popular and if so how popular specifically.

Are they going to be like picture phones where practically everyone with a cell phone has advanced phones capable of efficient and useful browsing..

I currently have a Verizon cell phone here in the US (Idaho) but in September I am moving to Moscow City, Russia to nanny for a family. I will be there anywhere from 6 months to two years, and I was wondering how the cell phone thing would work. Will my Verizon phone even work in Russia? I can’t go out of the country without being able to keep in contact with my friends and family, but would I have to buy a cell phone plan there, or will this one still work there? Thanks!

What cell phone is a good economical one that syncs to and allows you to run everything through the computer?

This includes making phone calls, sms (texting), emailing, transferring ring tones and media to/from the computer/cell phone. I’d want something that would let you do all this via computer interface. What cell phone make & model and program is good for this? Thank you in advance for your advice.

I need a new cell phone and I need one that is easier to text on than the Sony Ericsson I have. All I do is talk and text on my phone. I occasionally check email but its a pain on the cell  I have and don’t have the patience to always work with it.  I need a phone that makes it easy for me to do these things. Preferably a phone that flips open to a key pad.

Can any cell phone be used with Cingular/ATT or can I only buy phones from them?

I have flown several times since 9/11. Twice going to and from New York and Oregon and several flights to Arizona to Oregon and back. In each flight I would turn on my cell phone to see if I could get a connection. I always got no service available to appear on my screen.
About a year ago I read on the internet that in order for people to use cell phones on flying aircraft the airplanes would need to have a special antenna installed. This has not begun to happen yet.

So my question would be. If you can not get service on your cell phone while flying in an airplane. On 9/11 how did the people on board those doomed aicraft manage to use their cell phone to call out to their loved ones? I’m not counting the people who used the available at great cost aircraft phones just the ones who are said to have used their cell phones.

I’m looking cell phone company that has at least 400 minutes or less and unlimited texting for a good price.  Nothing over $50.  I’m trying to prove to my parents that not all cell phone company’s are over-priced.  Then maybe, I might get a cell in the future.

I got my mom a cell phone about 2 years ago to bring her up to the technology world and finally have a cell phone. I didnt realize when I got her the phone that the numbers are really hard to see and the key pad is really small for her. I have her set up with Alltel and I know she is due for a new phone soon. Can anyone tell me what kind of phone has bigger numbers and a bigger screen to see who is calling?

I need the cheapest cell phone possible. Both my home phone and cell phone aren’t working and I need something that doesn’t include a plan or long sign up process. I’ve heard that there’s cheap cell phones you can buy, or even use your own, then just buy minutes as you use them each month. Where can I find something like this and what is it exactly?
