What cell phone is a good economical one that syncs to and allows you to run everything through the computer?

This includes making phone calls, sms (texting), emailing, transferring ring tones and media to/from the computer/cell phone. I’d want something that would let you do all this via computer interface. What cell phone make & model and program is good for this? Thank you in advance for your advice.

CNET rates this phone with 3 1/2 stars  on the editor rating and 4 stars on the users rating.  This is a great smartphone will all of the goodies.  The only issues are that it lacks 3G support and it can be somewhat sluggish to operate.  T-Mobile also offers this phone as well.
