My house has a dual-band modem, and now I have two wifi connections, what is the difference between the two?
is a name, and other wi-fi Networking is the name for it and 5 GHz, is a dual band modem linskys, wirelss N range. What is the difference between the two different signals wi-fi anyway?
This is a 802.11 at 5 GHz and the other is 802.11 b / g / n, 2.5 GHz frequency scale are nominal. The 5 GHz is more specific and has a longer range than b / G / N is less concentrated and shorter range. To use a parallel beam of light, I think the 5 GHz, more like a ray of light that is more distant and facing a wide more, think more as 2.5 GHz in an open lamp, general lighting in the area, but not as a beam of light. This parallel is not exact but gives a conceptual difference.
