What is CDMA?
Multiple Access CDMA stands for code division, is a digital technology using what is known as spread spectrum techniques. "This means that the frequency of the transmitted signal varies deliberately. What is GSM?

GSM is the standard present in most of Europe, Asia, and has made great strides in gaining market share in the U.S.. GSM phones use SIM card technology. AT & T and T-Mobile uses GSM technology.
SIM and R-UIM
The SIM card is a removable card as smart allows users to easily switch between terminals, keeping your personal contact information and address books. The SIM card is connected to the network of an operator and can be moved without the intervention the operator. Activating a new phone on a GSM network is as easy as putting a SIM card to activate. GSM phones with SIM card can be removed after used again as soon as a SIM card placed inside.
CDMA does not activate the card, this means that the mobile phone used in CDMA networks can only be used in such networks. The phone itself is connected to the network operator, you can switch to a new CDMA phone without first checking with your provider and have the old phone off and then activate your new phone on their network. From the old phone was off, then it becomes useless.
The equivalent a CDMA SIM card called R-UIM card, Removable User Identity Module. R-UIM card is not currently available in the U.S. market, currently only available in parts of Europe and Asia.
Travel
You will find that both GSM and CDMA networks have good coverage in major metropolitan areas. GSM operators have contracts with other GSM operators, allowing them to have better roaming coverage, even in rural areas. If you are traveling international GSM operator, you may not have trouble getting a signal from an international operator. Most players in the international markets are GSM networks. You will need to consult with the chosen operator plans for national and international roaming can offer.
TDMA
TDMA or Time Division Multiple Access, is mainly on the use of the Americas (North and South) and in parts of Asia. TDMA is not very popular in the widespread use due to its lack of flexibility on how it compares with the other two digital wireless technologies. Current mobile phone operators are still using TDMA are planned to move the more popular GSM technology and more flexible.
